Memos

This section allows clinic staff to leave notes related to the patient's care episode. These notes are intended to facilitate internal communication or to note any reminders.



It is also possible to send an email or set a reminder from this section. Refer to this article to find out how: Schedule a reminder / Send an email to the patient


WARNING: This section is not for taking notes by the treating therapist. Any notes related to the patient's appointments with the treating therapist should be recorded in the "Activities" section.




Create a new note

To add a new note, just:

  1. Go to Clients
  2. Select a patient
  3. Go to Charting
  4. Go to an Episode of Care
  5. In the Memos section, click on (+)
  6. A new window will open
  7. Add your note
  8. Click on Save Changes




Edit note and add reminder

In Medexa, you can add a reminder to a note.


To edit and add a reminder a note, just:

  1. Go to Clients
  2. Select a patient
  3. Go to Charting
  4. Go to an Episode of Care
  5. In the Memos section, click on a note
  6. A new window will open
  7. Several options are available:
    1. You can edit the note text
    2. Delete: delete your note
    3. Cancel: Cancels the changes made to your note and closes your window
    4. Reminder: allows to add a reminder (see below)
    5. Save Changes: save your note


Added reminder:

When you click on the Reminder button, a new window will open


Here you have several possible choices:

  1. Choose a recipient
    1. You can add up to 3 recipients
    2. You can click on the button with the patient's name, this will add his email
    3. You can click on the Myself button to add your own email
  2. Choose a topic
  3. Add a message body
  4. Schedule a note reminder
    1. You will need to select a date to send the reminder
  5. Click on Set Reminder to create the reminder
    1. The person set as recipient will receive a reminder by email

Once the reminder has been created, it will appear on the memo
