WHAT IS A TREATMENT PLAN?

A treatment plan is the set of different treatments carried out in a defined order.

The treatment plan is part of the personalized care program (PPS) proposed to the patient during the announcement consultations.

STEP 1: CONFIGURING A TREATMENT PLAN IN MEDEXA

• Manage treatment plans

A treatment plan represents a series of ordered service steps. Each step is represented by the association of a service with an appointment color that will be used when making an appointment.

In order to administer your treatment plans, please go to My Clinic > Services > Treatment Plans. From this section you will be able to create, edit and delete treatment plans.

Here are the steps to set up a treatment plan:

1. Go to My Clinic
2. Click on Services
3. Go to Treatment Plans
4. Click on the + next to the mention Treatment plan
5. Add a title to your treatment plan
6. Click on Save

After creating your treatment plan, you must assign the services associated with this treatment plan to it.

Here's how to do it:

1. Click on the treatment plan you just created
2. Click on the + on the far right
3. Select service and color from the drop-down menu
4. Click on Save

Note that these actions must be repeated for each service associated with this treatment plan.

STEP 2: ASSIGN A TREATMENT PLAN TO A BILLING EPISODE

To assign a treatment plan to a billing episode, please go to the Treatment Plan tab of a patient's billing episode. From there, you can assign a treatment plan to the billing episode. The treatment plan steps can then be billed immediately without the appointment having been scheduled.

Here are the steps to add a treatment plan in a billing episode:

1.  Open a patient record
2. Go to the Billing Episode tab
3. Click on the desired billing episode
4. Go to the Treatment Plan tab
5. Click on the + next to Treatment Plan
6. Select treatment plan and primary therapist from the dropdown menus 
7. Add a treatment start and end date
8. Click on Save

STEP 3: BOOK APPOINTMENT ON SCHEDULE

When booking an appointment from the schedule, you can select the stage of a treatment plan after selecting a billing episode. This allows you to follow the steps of an ongoing treatment plan for a patient.

NOTE: Treatment plans are currently not available for online booking.
