Referral Tags

Referral tags allows to determine the referral source of a new patient.

When opening a new patient’s file, the clinic can ask the patient how they heard about the clinic or if they were referred by someone.  The referrals data remains on the patient’s file in the Information tab.

A report will eventually be created for the clinic to be able to track all the data related to the referrals.


Referral options

  • Employee : if the referral comes from a clinic’s employee. Select the name of the employee on the dropdown menu that is displayed on the right.
  • Existing Patient : if the referral comes from another patient. Select the patient’s name on the dropdown menu on the right
  • Physician : if the referral comes from a doctor
  • Other : if the referral comes from another source

Note : The referrals also makes it possible to indicate the name of the therapist that the patient requests to consult, if necessary.


Settings other referral options

If you want to set up other referral options, you have to register them manually for those options that are not available on the dropdown menu destined to this purpose. 

Here are following steps:

  1. Click on My Clinic 
  2. Click on the Tags tab
  3. Click on the Reference Labels section on the left of the screen
  4. Click on +
  5. Enter a title
  6. Click on Save Changes


Add, modify or delete a reference in a patient file

To edit a referral source in a patient’s file, you have to have the point of service or clinic’s master code.

Here are following steps:

  1. Go to the Customers tab of the left menu
  2. Find and open the desired patient file
  3. Click on the Information tab
  4. Click on the pencil icon at the top of the Information section
  5. Scroll to all at the bottom of the window
  6. Click on the padlock icon
  7. Enter the master code for your service point. (If you do not know the master code, consult one of the administrators of your clinic)
  8. Click on Allow
  9. Edit required fields
  10. Click on Save
