Sub-Invoice

To allow clinics to differentiate patient bills to third-party payers, we have added the ability to create sub-bills.

These sub-invoices can be done manually or automatically.




Manually

After creating an invoice by adding the items to be invoiced, you will have the option to separate the invoices manually into sub-invoices. You will have the option to enter the amount or the percentage of the insurer.


To do this, here are the steps to follow:

  1. Go to Clients in the left menu
  2. Click on the patient file
  3. Click on Billing Episodes in the patient record
  4. Choose the patient file
  5. In the invoicing episode, go to the section Invoices
  6. Click on the (+) at the top right

  1. Add items to bill and click on Create invoice
  2. Click on (+) Add a payer below the mention Bill to

  1. Add a payer in the new window

  1. Enter an amount or a percentage
  2. Click on Save

This will create sub-invoices that will be visible in the same invoice page (section Split Billing).




Automatically

You can also do it automatically according to the configuration defined in a service. This means that you will be able to define a third-party payer when creating a new service. This will be automatically assigned to the invoice when it is created.


To create a service associated with a third-party payer, here are the steps to follow:

  1. Click on My Clinic
  2. Click on Services
  3. Click on the (+) at the top right
  4. Enter your service information
  5. In the Billing section, check "Automatic third-party payer"
  6. Select the third-party payer to invoice
  7. Check "Automatic split-billing"
  8. In the Share by section, select Amount or Percentage
  9. Click on Save

You can also edit a service to make these same changes.
